Terms of Service
Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RecallHawk (the "Service"), operated by Weblabra ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using RecallHawk, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
RecallHawk is a free informational tool that aggregates product recall data, FDA enforcement actions, 510(k) device clearances, and drug approvals from publicly available US government sources (openFDA, CPSC, NHTSA, USDA FSIS). We provide search, browsing, and organizational features to help users discover and understand recall information.
The Service is for informational purposes only. We do not provide medical, legal, or safety advice. We do not process recall claims or facilitate returns/refunds.
2. Accuracy & Disclaimer
While we strive to maintain accurate and timely information, recall data may not reflect real-time changes made by federal agencies. New recalls, status updates, and classification changes may take up to 24 hours to appear on our site.
Always verify recall information directly with the issuing agency (FDA, CPSC, NHTSA, or USDA) before making safety decisions. We are not responsible for actions taken or not taken based on information displayed on RecallHawk.
3. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that recall data is complete, accurate, or current. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weblabra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: injury or harm resulting from reliance on recall data, delayed recall notifications, missed safety alerts, or any health or safety consequences arising from use of or inability to use the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract data from the Service by automated means.
- Use the Service to create competing products without permission.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
- Misrepresent recall information or use it to defame companies without basis.
- Reproduce or redistribute RecallHawk-generated analysis without attribution.
6. Intellectual Property
Government recall data sourced from FDA, CPSC, NHTSA, and USDA is public domain. Summaries, analysis, context, UI design, and other original content created by RecallHawk are the intellectual property of Weblabra and are protected by applicable copyright laws.
7. Third-Party Links
The Service contains links to FDA.gov, CPSC.gov, NHTSA.gov, and other government websites. We are not responsible for the content or availability of linked third-party sites.
8. Safety Notice
